Cover Up

“It takes more than a kiss to cover up a killing!”

A man in a small Midwestern town is dead, and everyone agrees it was suicide, though the clues keep pointing somewhere else. Sam Donovan (Dennis O'Keefe), an insurance investigator, comes to settle the claim and finds nobody willing to talk, Sheriff Larry Best (William Bendix) included. Alfred E. Green sets it at Christmas, with a whole town keeping quiet about the dead man and calling it politeness.
