Cradle Will Rock

“Art is never dangerous... unless it tells the truth.”

Marc Blitzstein (Hank Azaria) is a composer in 1930s New York who has written a leftist musical about labor and greed. Tim Robbins follows the production as the authorities move to stop it, while Diego Rivera (Rubén Blades) paints a mural for Nelson Rockefeller (John Cusack). The people backing the show and the people trying to shut it down keep ending up in the same rooms, and neither side can look away from the other.
