The grown-ups of Kasukabe have stopped showing up. Shinnosuke Nohara (Akiko Yajima), the five-year-old son of Misae (Miki Narahashi) and Hiroshi (Keiji Fujiwara), watches them walk away from their jobs and their children to relive their youth at a new expo built to look like the 20th century. Keiichi Hara sets the child's mischief against a wish the adults can't put down: to go back to a time that is already gone.
