Crazy Samurai Musashi

“400 vs 1 in a single take”

One man against four hundred is the problem the film puts to Musashi (Tak Sakaguchi) in 1604, after he has beaten the Yoshioka brothers in two duels at their dojo. The family answers by gathering all 100 of its members and hiring 300 more samurai to hunt him down. Yuji Shimomura stages the fight as one stretch of continuous, close-in action, so you stay inside the violence for as long as Musashi does.
