“Some sins are unforgivable.”

A woman vanishes from a New Orleans neighborhood, and Detective Brian Sutter (Terrence Howard) begins pulling at threads that won't stop unraveling. Each person he questions, each piece of evidence, leads him deeper into the city's hidden machinery, where nothing adds up the way it should. The investigation becomes a maze with no clear center, and the longer Sutter stays inside it, the less certain he is what he'll find.
