Prudence Beresford (Catherine Frot) wants a real mystery, and she and her husband, Colonel Bélisaire Beresford (André Dussollier), have been looking for one for years. Pascal Thomas adapts Agatha Christie's novel 4:50 from Paddington, and the Charpentier family, led by Roderick (Claude Rich), becomes the household she keeps coming back to. Prudence stands in the Charpentiers' house, Bélisaire at her elbow, as the family goes on pouring tea.
