Crime of Passion

(1956)Directed by Gerd Oswald86 minDrama, Crime, Thriller
“Her husband was lying so close... the gun was even closer... now she was only one sin away from the Crime of Passion.”

Kathy Ferguson (Barbara Stanwyck) gives up her newspaper column to marry Lt. Bill Doyle (Sterling Hayden), a homicide detective, and moves into a quiet suburban house. Bill is content with the job he has, and Kathy cannot stand the dinners, the chores, and the dull wives of his colleagues. Gerd Oswald keeps her in the frame as she watches Bill, the door of the house, and the telephone.
