Crimes and Misdemeanors

(1989)Directed by Woody Allen104 min · PG-13Comedy, Drama, Crime
“It's about love and reality. Faith and delusion. Good and evil. Success and failure.”

Judah Rosenthal (Martin Landau) is a respected ophthalmologist who wants out of his affair with Dolores Paley (Anjelica Huston), and she has no intention of letting it end quietly. Woody Allen runs that story beside another, in which Cliff Stern (Allen) takes a job filming a profile of Lester (Alan Alda), a TV comedy producer he can't stand. Cliff's real interest is Halley Reed (Mia Farrow), and the two of them keep ending up side by side in the editing room.
