Critical Condition

In 1987, a night storm knocks out the power at a hospital that is also holding patients for psychiatric assessment. Eddie Lenahan (Richard Pryor), a con artist who claimed insanity to beat a fraud charge, gets mistaken for a doctor in the dark and ends up running the place. Michael Apted films the blackout as a free-for-all, and Eddie leans on Rachel Atwood (Rachel Ticotin) to keep his bluff going.
