“A timeless story of strength, secrets and two warriors who would never surrender.”

Someone has stolen the Green Destiny, a famous sword, from the household of Sir Te (Lung Sihung) in 18th-century China, and no one can say who took it. The warriors Li Mu Bai (Chow Yun-Fat) and Yu Shu Lien (Michelle Yeoh) follow the trail to a governor's daughter, Jen (Zhang Ziyi), a restless teenager with startling skill. Ang Lee shoots the fights as swordplay and as a love story, and the quiet rooms between them carry as much weight.
