Crown Heights

In Brooklyn in the 1980s, Colin Warner (LaKeith Stanfield) is convicted of a murder he did not commit, the verdict handing a teenager a sentence that could swallow his life. Matt Ruskin, adapting the true story first told on This American Life, follows his best friend Carl King (Nnamdi Asomugha) as he takes up the case and refuses to put it down. Carl gives up years and everything else to the work, and nobody is paying him to keep going.
