Cub

“Be prepared.”

Sam (Maurice Luijten) is twelve, a boy with an overactive imagination who badly wants to meet the monster he is sure lives in the woods. His Cub Scout pack heads out to summer camp, and Sam keeps one eye on the trees the whole way there. Jonas Govaerts holds the film in that haze, where Sam's fear and what is actually out there stand together under the leaves.
