Cul-de-sac
“Sometimes there’s nothing left to do but laugh!”
George (Donald Pleasence) is a timid, soft-spoken man who has retired to a remote castle in the North of England with his young wife Teresa (Françoise Dorléac). Their quiet routine ends when two wounded gangsters, one of them Richard (Lionel Stander), turn up needing a place to hide, and a gun makes them the hosts. Roman Polanski leaves George smaller and more rattled with every hour the men stay.
