Curiosa

Marie de Regnier (Noémie Merlant) is the wife of the poet Henri de Régnier (Benjamin Lavernhe), yet it is Pierre Louÿs (Niels Schneider) who draws her into a secret that has nothing to do with her marriage. He photographs his lovers, the kind of pictures the French call curiosa, and she becomes the one he most wants to see. Lou Jeunet films their affair in the nineteenth-century world of the real authors, letting the camera linger on bodies and rooms.
