It is the countdown to Christmas, and George and The Man with the Yellow Hat (Jeff Bennett) share an apartment building in the city, with a small house near Lake Wanasinklake as their other home. Directors Scott Heming and Cathy Malkasian follow the two of them through the days leading up to the holiday. Neither can decide what to give the other, so George, voiced by Frank Welker, keeps looking.
