Jean-François Sauvageau (Emmanuel Bilodeau) wants one thing for his daughter, which is that the world never touches her the way it touched him. He works nights at a deserted bowling alley and days at a rundown motel in a rural Québec village, while Julyvonne (Philomène Bilodeau) stays home through the dead of winter. Denis Côté follows the two of them through a fear that is meant as protection.
