Cute but Ordinary

“She's only 17 and she only knows how to love in a weird way”

Maria Cecilia Weneck (Lucélia Santos) is the youngest daughter of a wealthy Rio de Janeiro family, and she comes home from the slums after being raped by five men. Her father, Dr. Werneck (Carlos Kroeber), settles on a husband for her, Edgar (José Wilker), one of his own employees, so the family name stays clean. Braz Chediak puts her inside that arrangement, where the family's honor is on the line and she is expected to go along with it.
