Cutter's Way

Alex Cutter (John Heard) is a drunk, bitter Vietnam veteran who lost an eye, an arm and a leg to a landmine, and he has plenty to say about it. His friend Richard Bone (Jeff Bridges), a drifter who lives off his looks, gets blamed for a murder he did not commit, and Cutter decides to go after the truth his own way. Ivan Passer ends up with Cutter hunched in the dark, bottle in his one hand, the empty sleeve and the missing leg gone still beside him.
