A freak accident pulls Hélène Dupuis (Elsa Zylberstein) from her 1950s farmhouse into 2025, where she becomes a bank executive in a world of screens and speed. Her husband Michel (Didier Bourdon) follows but finds himself unemployed and adrift while their children grow up among machines he doesn't recognize. The distance between them widens not across years but across the life each one is forced to live, and what it takes to remember they chose each other first.
