“A Picture As Excitingly Different As Its Title!”

Frank Bigelow (Edmond O'Brien) walks into a police station to report a murder: his own. An accountant, he has been poisoned, and the doctors give him one day. With his girlfriend and assistant Paula Gibson (Pamela Britton) trying to keep up, Rudolph Maté sends him back through his last steps, and Frank hurries from one stranger to the next, a man with no time left to be careful.
