“A War Never Ends”

Decades after the war, four Black veterans fly back to Vietnam: Paul (Delroy Lindo), Otis (Clarke Peters), Eddie (Norm Lewis) and Melvin (Isiah Whitlock Jr.). They have come to find the remains of their fallen squad leader and to dig up the treasure they buried while serving there. Spike Lee brings Paul's son David (Jonathan Majors) along, and Paul carries the past with him into the jungle.
