Brad Whitaker (Will Ferrell) is a devoted stepfather trying to earn his wife's children's love, but his earnest efforts keep landing awkwardly. Then Dusty Mayron (Mark Wahlberg), their biological father, shows up with a motorcycle and easy charm. Sean Anders sends these two men into increasingly absurd competition for the kids' affection.
