Dad's Army

“The British Empire Strikes Back”

Captain Mainwaring (Toby Jones) is the pompous bank manager who leads the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard, a platoon of men too old, too slow or too nervous for the regular army. It is 1944, and a glamorous journalist, Rose Winters (Catherine Zeta-Jones), arrives to write about them. Oliver Parker sets the platoon against a German spy hiding in the seaside town, with the war nearly over and the men's one chance to prove themselves at stake.
