“A WORLD'S FAIR OF BEAUTY, SONG - LAUGHTER!”

A Broadway show is rumored to be scandalous, and Barbara Hemingway (Ruby Keeler), the daughter of a reformer, ends up with its lead role. Ray Enright directs the story, and Busby Berkeley staged the dance numbers, including "I Only Have Eyes for You," with Dick Powell as Jimmy Higgens and Joan Blondell as Mabel Anderson. Barbara's family stands against everything the show is, and the part could cost her their respect.
