Damnation
Karrer (Székely B. Miklós) rides through a rain-darkened mining town each night to the Titanik Bar, where the singer (Vali Kerekes) is the one thing that keeps his loneliness bearable. She is married, and he sets out to keep her husband away from her. Béla Tarr shoots it in black and white, in mud and long, slow takes, and Karrer carries all of it in his shoulders.
