Elodie (Millie Bobby Brown) accepts a marriage proposal from Prince Henry (Nick Robinson) and travels to his kingdom for the wedding, only to discover she has been offered as a sacrifice to an ancient debt. The royal family lowers her into a chasm where a dragon waits, and she must fight her way out alive. The film argues that survival means refusing the role others have written for you.
