Dancing at the Blue Iguana

“They expose all. They show nothing.”

A week begins at the Blue Iguana, the most notorious strip club in the San Fernando Valley, and five dancers share its stage and its dressing room. Jessie (Charlotte Ayanna) is new, while Angel (Daryl Hannah) and Nico (Kristin Bauer) have been working the floor longer, and Michael Radford built the film from an improvisation workshop with his lead actors. Under the club's neon, the women turn out to be people who need each other far more than they like to say.
