Daniel

(1983)Directed by Sidney Lumet130 min · RDrama

In 1960s New York, Daniel Isaacson (Timothy Hutton) is a graduate student caught up in the antiwar protests, while the memory of his parents sits under everything he does. Paul (Mandy Patinkin) and Rochelle (Lindsay Crouse) were executed as Soviet spies in the 1950s, and Daniel has always believed they were wrongly convicted. Sidney Lumet follows him as he measures his own protest against theirs, with his parents' names and his own sense of who he is on the line.
