Daniel Isn't Real

“The mind will do anything to avoid confronting just how alone it is in the universe.”

Luke Nightingale (Miles Robbins) is a college freshman who still carries the scar of a violent trauma from childhood. Under that pressure he brings back Daniel (Patrick Schwarzenegger), the imaginary friend he once shut away, and Adam Egypt Mortimer follows the two of them as Luke's mother Claire (Mary Stuart Masterson) and his new life at school start to look unsteady. Luke is trying to cope, and it is his own mind he is handing over.
