Daphne

Daphne (Emily Beecham) works long shifts in a restaurant kitchen and spends her nights moving through bars and parties, always the funniest person in the room. One evening she steps into a shop in the middle of a failed robbery and keeps the stabbed shopkeeper alive. Peter Mackie Burns stays close on Beecham's face and lets the camera linger there, watching the quick, easy front she wears for everyone else begin to slip.
