Dark Blood

Shot in 1993 and left unfinished when River Phoenix died, Dark Blood sat unseen for nineteen years before George Sluizer assembled it. Boy (River Phoenix) is a young widower living alone on a nuclear testing site in the desert, carving Katchina dolls and waiting for the world to end. When Buffy (Judy Davis) and Harry Fletcher (Jonathan Pryce) break down in their car nearby, he takes them in, and they cannot tell whether they have been rescued or kept.
