Dark City

“They built the city to see what makes us tick. Last night, one of us went off.”

John Murdoch (Rufus Sewell) wakes in a bathtub with no memory, a dead woman in the next room, and a city where it is always night. Inspector Frank Bumstead (William Hurt) hunts him for the murders, while the Strangers, who move through the streets with telekinetic power, hunt him for other reasons. Alex Proyas leaves him one lead, a wife named Emma (Jennifer Connelly) he cannot remember, and a woman who may no longer know him.
