Dark Night of the Scarecrow

“The Original Classic”

Bubba Ritter (Larry Drake) is a gentle, intellectually disabled man whose one friend is a young girl, and when she is hurt, the town blames him. Frank De Felitta follows the posse led by Otis P. Hazelrigg (Charles Durning), a mailman who has already settled on the verdict. Bubba hides in a cornfield dressed as a scarecrow, and the four men who hunt him have everything to lose if the law ever looks at what they did.
