“Brutes! Savages! Heroes! They're Mercenaries... They're Paid to do a Job!”

Captain Curry (Rod Taylor), a mercenary in the war-torn Congo, takes a job that pays only if he gets $50 million in uncut diamonds out of a rebel-held town. Jack Cardiff sends his crew through hostile country on a train, with rival armies on every side and a time lock ticking. Curry and his hard-drinking partner Ruffo (Jim Brown) share a loyalty neither one ever says out loud.
