Dark Places

“In 1985, her entire family was murdered. 30 years later, the truth emerges.”

Libby Day (Charlize Theron) survived the night her mother and sisters were murdered, and she has lived off sympathy donations ever since. When the money runs thin, she agrees to meet Lyle Wirth (Nicholas Hoult), a stranger who wants her to look again at the crime that put her brother Ben in prison. The details come back through flashbacks, and Gilles Paquet-Brenner keeps the camera close to Libby's guarded face as she goes through them.
