Dark Star

“The spaced out odyssey.”

Lt. Doolittle (Brian Narelle) is one of four crewmen aboard the starship Dark Star, twenty years into a mission to destroy unstable planets before anyone tries to colonize them. John Carpenter fills the ship with a failing hull, an alien mascot that gets loose, and Sgt. Pinback (Dan O'Bannon) fighting it with little more than his own stubbornness. Then one of the bombs starts asking why it exists at all, and nobody aboard has a good answer.
