Dark Waters

“Was love or madness to be her fate?”

Leslie Calvin (Merle Oberon), the lone survivor of a submarine accident, goes to stay with her relatives to get her nerves back. Instead she finds a household where Mr. Sydney (Thomas Mitchell) and the men around him seem to have designs on her and the family money. André de Toth keeps her alone with the fear that no one will believe her, until Dr. George Grover (Franchot Tone) takes her side.
