“Violence against women is injurious to health”

Badru (Alia Bhatt) keeps hoping her husband will change once he stops drinking, and she keeps explaining away what happens when he doesn't. Hamza (Vijay Varma) is the man she married for love, and her mother Shamshunissa (Shefali Shah) watches from the next room, unconvinced. Jasmeet K Reen, in her first feature, plays the cruelty straight and lets the dark comedy rise out of how ordinary the household looks.
