“A Violent Love Story.”

Kiran (Juhi Chawla) is newly engaged to Sunil (Sunny Deol), a navy officer, when a stranger named Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) begins to haunt her, calling and turning up wherever she goes. Yash Chopra frames the romance and the threat as one story, with Kiran caught between the man she loves and the man who says he loves her more. Desire here is not tender but possessive, and fear is what it feels like to be wanted that hard.
