Davy Crockett and the River Pirates

On the Mississippi in 1956's tale of the keelboat trade, Davy Crockett (Fess Parker) and his friend Georgie (Buddy Ebsen) agree to race Mike Fink (Jeff York), the boasting self-styled King of the River, all the way to New Orleans. Norman Foster then turns the two rivals toward a gang of pirates dressed up as Native Americans. Davy rides the current, grinning, willing to share a boat with a braggart if it keeps the water clear.
