Day for Night

(1973)Directed by François Truffaut116 min · PGComedy, Drama
“A movie for people who love movies.”

Ferrand (François Truffaut), a director, is halfway through shooting a melodrama called Meet Pamela, and every day brings a new problem. Julie Baker (Jacqueline Bisset) is the English star whose nerves are fragile, Séverine (Valentina Cortese) is the veteran actress who cannot remember her lines, and the crew's affairs and arguments spill onto the set. The film needs finishing, and Ferrand has to keep the cast and crew together long enough to do it.
