Days and Nights in the Forest

Asim (Soumitra Chatterjee) is one of four Calcutta friends who leave the city for a few days in a rented bungalow in a small Bihar village. Satyajit Ray gives each of them a different temper, from the restless Hari (Samit Bhanja) to the easygoing Sanjoy (Subhendu Chatterjee), and lets small events in the forest show who they are. Asim, the proud and watchful one, arrives sure of himself and sure that nothing here could change him.
