(1972)Directed by Theo Angelopoulos105 minDrama, History

A trade unionist has been shot dead, and the man accused of killing him then seizes a conservative member of parliament and holds him hostage. Theo Angelopoulos stays mostly outside the room, so the officials come to us in scraps of talk, and Sofianos (Kostas Pavlou) stays a figure we watch more than know. The government has no clear answer, and the prison director (Christoforos Nezer) is left waiting on the other side of a locked door.
