Days of Glory

“The true story of World War II's forgotten heroes.”

Saïd (Jamel Debbouze) has never set foot in France, yet in 1943 he joins the French Army, one of 130,000 colonial soldiers who enlist to liberate a "fatherland" they know only by name. Rachid Bouchareb follows him alongside Abdelkader (Sami Bouajila), Messaoud (Roschdy Zem) and Yassir (Samy Naceri), men fighting a war in someone else's uniform. Saïd wants a place among the men he serves, and the film keeps asking what the army will pay him in return.
