Days of Thunder

(1990)Directed by Tony Scott107 min · PG-13Adventure, Action, Drama
“You can't outrun the thunder.”

Cole Trickle (Tom Cruise) is a talented but unproven stock car driver who gets his first real shot, and veteran crew chief Harry Hogge (Robert Duvall) starts teaching him how to turn raw speed into wins. Tony Scott fills the film with real NASCAR drivers, among them Richard Petty and Rusty Wallace. Cole is back in the car, helmet strapped tight, the engine pitched to a roar, his doctor Claire Lewicki (Nicole Kidman) somewhere behind him.
