Days of Wine and Roses

“From the days of wine and roses, finally comes a night like this.”

Joe Clay (Jack Lemmon) is a young public relations man in early-sixties America, where the work comes with long lunches and cocktails always within reach. He meets Kirsten Arnesen (Lee Remick), who doesn't drink, and marries her, then brings her into the one pleasure he can't do without. Blake Edwards follows the two of them as the drinking becomes the thing they share most, closer than anything else in the marriage.
