Danny (Tom Arnold) fronts Sonic Grave, a glam-metal band whose one hit came out in 1989 and never got a follow-up. He drives the band toward Coachella, sure a comeback is waiting there, with Pager (Rhys Coiro) and Merrick (Jake Busey) along. Ron Carlson sends them into Joshua Tree for a peyote stop, where a vicious attack comes for them, and the only way out is to play.
