Dead Man

“It is preferable not to travel with a dead man.”

William Blake (Johnny Depp), a mild accountant, has come west for a job in the town of Machine. He ends up on the run for killing a man, wounded and moving into country he has never seen. A Native American man called Nobody (Gary Farmer) finds him there and takes him for the English poet of the same name. What passes between them is a slow, odd companionship in which one man guides the other toward the end of his road.
