“Murdered!... But his eyes lived to condemn his killer...!”

In 1944, the painter David Stuart (Lon Chaney Jr.) loses his sight when a jealous model throws acid at him while he works on her portrait. His fiancée Heather Hayden's father offers his own eyes for the operation, but the surgeon can only use them after the man is dead. Reginald Le Borg follows David from the bandages to the waiting, a blind man the police begin to look at hard.
