Dead of Night

“The dead of night changed the lives of many... and ended the lives of some.”

A telegram says Andy Brooks (Richard Backus) died in Vietnam, and then he walks through the front door of his parents' house anyway. Charles (John Marley) and Christine Brooks (Lynn Carlin) have their son back, though he sits in silence and behaves in ways that frighten them. Bob Clark, working from "The Monkey's Paw," puts the whole family at risk the longer Andy stays under their roof.
